Hello everone!

What's up on the forum?

With the heated argument on the existence of God sibsided, the philosophy section has a raging discussion going about the Nature of Man--good, evil, both or neither? Check it out and join youself!

In the history section, we hae a discussion on why the
Spanish Armada was defeated. Unfortunately, this is only for certain IST students--but even if you're not, you could go read the posts!

Global Issues, having recently met (without much success du to a key player missing :P) to discuss aid efforts, will soon be tarting up some new discussion on current issues.

And, of course, we have some recently started threads in the General Discussion area. Check out the new Art topic to post your creative urges, or if you feel more like discussion, try to answer: Who is the Greatest Person of All Time? B)

Thanks for adding those details, this is a sensible way of keeping people upto date of discussions which maybe hidden deep in the curriculum areas.

One important development in the history area recently has been the restructuring and broadening of the subforums. Warfare in the 20th century is one of these and a number of discussions have been started which maybe of interest to non-historians.

Why do think warfare has been such a popular subject of 20th films, novels and plays? Do you have particular favourite examples of films, novels or plays that use war as a theme?

I also understand there will be some new discussions in the Geography section starting this week.
