Year 7 students at the International School of Toulouse have been reviewing historical characters they have heard of, and debating who the most important of these was.

They will hopefully be putting their findings here...!

:D
Albert Einstein was a Jew and he was the great scientist and theory physicist. He was born in Germany in 1879. He studied about physics and theories.
I think he was a great scientist because his researches and that result were very important for every science now. There were many things what he formulated and discovered.
He formulated the special and general theory of relativities, moreover he wrote about quantum theory. Badly the theory of relativities offered a basic theory to an atomic energy and an atomic bomb.
While he was famous because of theory of relativity he discovered the photoelectric effect and he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921. Those theories effected to the idea of history.
If there weren’t Einstein the science wouldn’t be developed like now.
In 1933 he goes to United States of America and he acquires citizenship in the United States of America.
I think he was a genius and important physicist because he worked out the theories of relativities affected to science and physics. Normally he is remembered by the most important physicist of the 20th century.

He was born on the 14th of March 1879 and died on the 18th of April 1955. Albert Einstien was German and lived in Berlin, till the start of the second world war then he moved to America to get away from being captured by Hitler for being a Jew.

Einstein was so important because,

a) He was one of the most important physisits the world has ever had.

b) He proved many theories wrong and right.

c) He established Newton and Galiléo were wrong about how the universe worked and explained how it really works.

d) He published three articles in a leading German physics journal answering some important physics questions.

e) Last but not least he also proved the exsistence of atoms.

Einstien
March 14, 1879 to April 18, 1955.
He was German.
He was a German Nobel prize winning scientist. He made the first Nuclear (Atom) bomb, but he truly wanted peace, even though many countries used these bombs they have obviously not listened and taken in his words. he was a kind man and a great scientist. :)

I think Christopher Columbus was the most important because he was the first European to go to the Americas. After his discovery lots of Europeans decided to colonise America because they thought it was a land of endless riches. It was bad for the natives because lots of them were killed, and their land and countries were taken over by the Europeans, for example, the Aztecs, the Maya’s etc… The biggest thing that Christopher Columbus did, was that with the new found land he started a trade for the Europeans, which consisted of all sorts of goods like sugar cane, tobacco etc… As a result the Americas (North and South America) developed into what we have today. That is why I think Christopher Columbus is the most important.

I think that Albert Einstein is the most important historical person.
He borned at Ulm, in Wurttemburg in Germany on 14/3/1879.He died in 18/4/1955 in Princeton.
His nationality is Switerland.
1. Because he found out the thoery of revolutionary theory of relativity.
2. Because he wrote the paper which is about moving object’s electronic mechanics.
3. Because he wrote the paper which is about ‘Can we know the inertia of object from its energy?’.
4. Because he found out the world of 4 dimension.
And he got Novel Prize in 1921.

 I think that Leonardo da vinci was the most imortant person in history because he painted the famous Mona Lisa.
He had ideas for many inventions such as the tank, a machine gun and The movable bridge.

He also painted St. john the Baptist.

I think the most important person in history was Christopher Columbus. He was born between August & October 1451- and died on May 20 1506. He was born in Genoa which is now a part of Italy but at the time was it’s own country. Although people had been in America, noone was actually sure of Americas existance until Columbus visited it.

He was also famous for finding out that the world was round.

He sailed to and discovered America, finding America was very important because it proved that is was on the other side of the world and also that the world had be round instead of flat.
