Hey everybody,

I do not know, how many questions we have for M.Pika, but I havent seen them too much so here I came up with some.

-Approximately when was it that you realized that there was something terrible about to happen? What were your biggest concerns at that time?

-Did it take long for you to get accustomed in the UK? How were the people treating you back there? Did you have any negative experience?

-Describe some of your most powerful experience from your war years.

-What happened to your family during the war years?

-How did you feel about communism at the beginning?

Please, everybody, get somehow involved and let us try to sort out the best questions for M.Pika.
Thank you,

hey Does anyone know if the questions we are supposed to ask Mr. Píka should be in English or Slovak. ( I am sure he can speak English very well because he took a Cambridge exam when he was younger. That´s what he said when he was being interviewed)

these are my questions for Mr. Píka:

1. As a child, your father had a very important function and position within the country. Did it have any particular impact on you?

2. were you proud of the fact that you were one of the youngest men registered to the RAF?

3. Can you describe your first days in England serving for the RAF? What was the hardest thing you had to cope with?

4. Did you ever consider the possibility of returning back to Czechoslovakia during the war?

5. What exatcly were all the things you were in charge of while serving for the RAF?

6. Can you describe your feelings when you were diagnosed with an incurable eye disease which marred your chance to fly at last?

7. When did you finally meet your father during the war?

8. Having returned back to Slovakia in September 1945, how did you feel being back home? Could you compare it with England?
